Upholding Tradition

When Austin was a month old we took him to the Pumpkin Patch, set him down in a pile of pumpkins and snapped a ton of pictures. That was the beginning of our first family tradition. Just about every year since, we have visited a patch where we ride overpriced little carnival rides, pet animals and search for the perfect pumpkin. I look forward to it every year.

Ahhh, you and Aaron match! :-)
What a fun tradition! David and I plan to carve a pumpkin this year also and I can't wait! I have lots of fun memories of picking out pumpkins and carving them as a child and can't wait to do it with my own child! Hmmm, by Halloween next year, the baby with be about 5months old-can they dig out pumpkin goop at that age?! :-)

Yeah mom that was a lot of fun.
Like you said it is a family tradition. I love finding pumpkins.
It seems like I always get the biggest ones. I always either get a fat one, tall one or round one.

You have such a wonderful family life! I love to look at your pictures (they are great). Your kids are very blessed to have a mom like you!

i love pumpkin patches! we never went growing up, so maybe it's because it's fun to watch the kids get excited while they pick out their own pumpkin and listen to them explain how they're going to carve it. Tell Aaron i said hello, his face looks peaceful in that pic, rather happy. happy fall!!!
