Following the evening we spent poolside, we enjoyed a beautiful day at the beach. We couldn't have asked for better weather. It was warm and sunny with just a bit of a breeze.

Somehow we'd forgotten, in the years we've been away, just how cold the ocean really is. Especially in April.
Here's my cool guy, in his cool hat and cool necklace. The next day Austin was showing me his sunburned chest when we discovered he had a white ring around his neck where the necklace had lain. Not so cool.
The kids got a kick out of the tide pools, especially Amanda who as I've previously mentioned, has a thing for creepy crawlies. She fell in love with the mini hermit crabs and begged and pleaded (with futility) to take one home.
It was a great day and of course we all went home with baked skin, sand in every imaginable crevice, and eyeballs burning from salt water. Can't wait to go back.
